Justin S. just could not wait to use his Jamba Juice gift card so to start off, he
treated us to Jamba Juice–small size though since his card was only $25. After
that I, Yan Huang, wanted to check out the Hollywood sign that we see all over so
we set forth. Justin S, Brandon Y, Vince V, Nelly C, Albert T, and me went in
my car. We took the 10 Freeway towards Santa Monica and merged onto the 101
Hollywood Freeway, and exited right on Sunset Blvd. We went the wrong way with
the aid of Justin’s crappy GPS. We had to ask for help when we went into Griffith
Park and a gentleman there told us to go up Beachwood Blvd. We saw a sign that
said “No Access to Hollywood Sign” but we went anyways because we saw that the sign
was that direction. We continued to see “No Access to Hollywood Sign” signs
everywhere! Then finally we were at the sign…WTH?! Yup, the way to get
to the Hollywood sign is to follow those “No Access to Hollywood Sign” signs–ironic
isn’t it? Those folks up there must really NOT want tourists to go through their
neighborhood to see the sign.
It was very disappointing once we arrived because it was JUST the sign and some satellites
up there, so we went back down to Sunset Blvd and drove towards Beverly Hills.
We saw a candleholder in one of the stores there that cost $150,000! So should
I buy a house or a candleholder? Brandon led us to find food places, but they
were out of our comfort price range so we scrapped that and went back but on that
little quest for food we saw a Ferrari and a Lamborghini!
