Based on the failure of Basecamp to serve some of Gold Zeppelin’s needs in management, Crockett looked into web applications were can be a replacement or an addition to our current Basecamp.  One of the largest concerns on Crockett’s mind was that fact that he had to copy and paste all of the emails into Basecamp manually.  One of the products offered by 37 Signals, the company that created Basecamp, was Highrise.  Highrise is a Customer Relationships Management CRM system that allows you to send a Blind Carbon Copy BCC to a specified email and it will automatically be parsed by their servers and sorted into Highrise’s web interface.  This sounds great, however, one of the concerns on Crockett’s mind is that after you create a Task, you are not able to link it to a Case.  Tasks that pertain to a specific Case must be created under Cases, which can be very unconvenient.  One of the concerns I see in this is there is no visual representation for the status of projects such as a calendar or a visual model.
