I downloaded the audiobook “The Four Hour
Workweek” by Timothy Ferriss from Audible.com–much
better deal than purchasing it at Borders.
Tim Ferriss stated that people do not wish to become millionaires; they simply want
the lifestyle that they believe only millionaires can have. Ferriss explains
the myth behind this and explains his formula for a more enjoyable lifestyle.
The man only works 4 hours a week (or so he claims) and makes $80,000 per month (again,
so he claims). Whether his claims are accurate or not, his book has truly inspired
me. One of the cliche scenarios he brought up was the “fat man in the BMW convertible”
who works from 9:00AM to 5:00PM and has virtually no time for fun or travel.
After listening to that for the first time, I vowed that I would never be that fat
man in the bimmer.
Since the time of my last post, I have filed for my own Limited Liability Company
through LegalZoom. I filed for One V8
LLC, sellers permit and tax ID–all of which are pending at the moment. I hired
a manager, Sunitha, who is located in Bangalore,
India. She is helping me with the management of my eBay business.
Her performance so far has been nothing but exceptional. From the first eBay
Guide 4 Sellers in LA meetup, I met Alan who is
an experienced Java and .NET developer with a strong entrepeneur mindset. Alan
and I went to a coffee shop with free wifi and discussed about our eCommerce businesses
(his objectives are very similar to my own) and we found an untabbed niche market
that had nothing to do with our eBay businesses. I am not going to disclose
this market yet until we tap into it first, but it seems very promising and I spent
countless hours today dealing with XML and JavaScript.
