I (Yan Huang) moved out here to Santa Monica, California–it is the third day
and it is terrific out here!  The beach is only 10 blocks down!!  The only
thing I am really missing is one of those beach cruiser
bikes so I can ride it along the Santa Monica shore–seems everyone has one of
those out here.  I rode one before via the beach rentals with friends and those
things are fun!  New location, of course means new places and meetups to go to!

I went to the Los Angeles Small Business
Meetup group today, which was held in Brentwood, which probably 5 miles away from
where I lived.  I met a lot of interesting people there.  One of the members
were kind enough to give us a free book because they ordered a bit too many at her
workplace so she shared it with us.  A lot of new business owners out there that
use the Internet as a medium for their sales.  Aside from Joel
Ordesky’s Exectec, I
would have to say this is probably the second or third best meetup I have been
to (I also really enjoy the LA Web Application Developers meetup
group), so this is meetup’s definitely got my recommendation.
