One of my goals is to have a much stronger online precence than I do now.  What sucks for me is there is a famous painter whos name is Huang Yan (his lastname is my firstname and vice versa) so whenever people Google my name, it points to him.  What a bummer!  Despite your thoughts of how original my name “Yan” is–it is actually a pretty common name in Chinese and so is my last name “Huang”.  I was thinking back of how I do all this SEO and marketing for my websites.  Websites I create will last anywhere from a few weeks or months to a few years (maybe a decade if I really like the website)–however, I’m with myself for this whole ride so why shouldn’t I market myself more than my websites?  I could not answer so I decided to start working towards giving myself a higher online precence.

Great!  Let’s get started.  Simply by having this post as another update
on my blog, it will already boost my online precence–so will the picture on the bottom
of this blog entry!  I even named the images Yan_Huang_*.jpg to greater boost
my precence on Google Images…wonderful.  Fortunately I’m 18 so hopefully by
the time I am in my mid 20’s, I all the images on the first few pages of Google Images
will be of me and not the painter (not that I don’t like the painter but he has my
name =P).  Hopefully all this online PR will be very beneficial to me later on
business-wise.
