Subway has their great deal of 3 for $12.99 (of course we know when everything is added up, it’s more like $16), but great deal nethertheless.  Two days ago, I bought a Mediteranean Chicken, Terayaki Chicken, and the last one I don’t recall.  I ate two of them and left the Mediteranean Chicken footlong in the fridge of my LA office.  I went to the office to eat it for breakfast today.  Parked my car.  Went up and ate it, which probably took 20 minutes.  Came back and my car was gone!  I totally freaked out for a good two minutes.

I asked the people around and a construction worker said they towed it.  My response
was… WHAT?!  I looked around and found a Temporarily No Parking sign hidden
behind a white Ford truck.  I called the number and had to walk TWO miles UPHILL
to OPG, Official Police Garage on Temple St.  I found out my car was not even
registered under my name–the registration was under my mother’s name so I had to
wait for her to come to sign a release paper.  The charge was $185 for the impound
service and storage.  On top of that, I have a $50 parking violation.  Surprisingly,
all this trouble and $235 could have been avoided if I did not go to the office to
eat that Subway footlong sandwich.
